Delete your Golfmie account
Golfmie · Last updated: 11 October 2026
You can delete your Golfmie account and the personal data linked to it at any time, right in the app. If you no longer have the app installed, you can ask us by email instead.
Delete your account in the app
- Open Golfmie and go to Profile → Account.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Read what is deleted, tap Continue, then type DELETE and tap Delete.
Your account is deleted straight away and you are signed out. This cannot be undone.
Or request deletion by email
- Send an email to privacy@golfmie.com with the subject "Delete my Golfmie account".
- Send it from the email address you use to sign in to Golfmie, and include your username if you know it.
- If you write from another address, we will send a one-time code to your sign-in email to confirm the request comes from you.
We confirm by email once your account is deleted. Deletion is completed within 30 days of your request, and usually much sooner.
Email a deletion requestWhat is deleted
- Your account, email address and sign-in data.
- Your profile: name, display name, username, profile photo, handicap, targets and home club.
- Rounds you played alone or only with guests, your statistics and achievements.
- Your friends list, friend requests, group memberships and block list.
- Your direct messages (sent and received), with their photos and voice messages, your reactions, read receipts and last-seen data.
- Your gallery photos, course photos you uploaded, push tokens, notifications and notification settings, email invitations you sent and your AI usage counters.
What may be kept
- Rounds you played with other golfers stay in their history so their scores and results don't change: your scores are kept under the name "Deleted golfer", not linked to you. A round or group you created passes to another player or member.
- Messages you sent in group chats stay in the group, shown as from "Deleted user".
- Courses you added or corrected stay in the shared course database, without being linked to you.
- Data we must keep to meet a legal obligation, only for as long as required.
- Encrypted backups and provider logs, which are overwritten on their normal cycle.
If you only want to stop using the app for a while, you can simply sign out (Profile → Account → Sign out). Uninstalling the app removes the settings stored on your phone but does not delete your account.
